The Last World draws the reader into a universe governed by the power of mythology, a world of decay on the brink of apocalypse. Thus, the Last World is a realm christop either the real or purely fictional. Ovid I remember for his soliloquies and this is a book without characters, so I’m not lftzte how ‘like’ Ovid it is.
